This was the first of two images commissioned by Jim Baen's Universe for the short story, "Last Flight To Heaven: A Love Story" which was Written by Jay Lake.
This story is about unwitting mercenaries wrangled in to collect a special cargo. A young girl who is clearly out of this world.
