Canvas Blues.
I have been working on a new under water image that is kicking the stuffing out of me. I had hoped to have it completed by now however it seams that is going to require several more hours to finish. I was seeking a challenge and boy did I get more than I bargoned for. I always had a hard time painting water but undersea flora and faunna is kicking by royal toosh. Stay tuned Lycan fans, it will be a real treat when it is all finished, Quite possibly the best display of skill and will I have produced yet.

The Claws Of Fall.
There it is again the scratching sounds of Fall at the door. With the weather reluctantly cooling from our very warm summer it is a welcome change. for a while there I thought Summer was going to last forever. Not that that is a bad thing it is just a bit uncomfortably warm without air conditioning. I have been working on some new images but nothing I can show you all just yet, you are just going to have to bite you finger and wait just a bit longer for it. I assure you it will be worth the wait. Be looking out for some Short Storys By Darwin's Evolutions to be published soon. They are a great gift for yourselves or someone else who is a fan of fantasy.

Black Knight.
Behold the Black Knight. This new commission image was created to adorn the hood cover of a Freightliner Semi-Truck. A character portrait that is 36" tall and 26" wide to cover the hood in all it's glory. Production pictures are on the way of how this monster is produced on the truck but for now while we wait you can see the Black Knight here.

Return of the Lycan...
Thanks to our fans that made the 2011 Dragon*Con a great success for us. The Con is a double edged sword for us because burning the candle at both ends can get mighty tiresome. Come Monday -Labor Day- it becomes more of a Draggin' Tail Con for us. LOL... After the Dragon*Con I am almost entirely depleted of energy. Having to drive back home certainly is a monumental task, though, thankfully, we have arrived safe and sound. I have some commissions to finish up and a few new ideas to start working on some cool new images. Speaking of new, check out the latest cover image from Darwin's Evolutions Short Story "The Glamour!"

Looks like August is going to be a hot one this year. I hope you all are ready for it. As for Ravynedge and I, we have stocked up on ice and pray for cool weather. We are getting ready for Dragon*Con and as the world turns it looks like we have been blessed with some work to keep us from complete boardom while we wait for buyers for the house. I have a bite for some new commission work and I am hoping that it works out for me as it would be a kickin' addition to the ol protfolio. Here's hopin'!

AX Me Baby.
If you have ever been to Anime Expo you know just how crazy it can be. Thousands of anime fans in a confined space = one giant party. This year was no exception. With all the returning fans for the Unnatural Forces and some new fans from this last show, we thank you all for helping to make our trek to LA a very memorable one. Thanks for your support!

Now For The Fun Part!
Hey gang, the fun has just begun for us. We are now setting up the home for re-carpeting and new linoleum. We are clearing out the rooms in preparation for monday's large scale assault on the entire carpet removal and replacement. this will set me out for a few days as I paint cabinets and doors. yes not my idea of fun but with our planned date of July 15th the house will be up for sale ready or not. here we go. Wish us luck... We are going to need it!

Dragon*Con and Beyond!
I donno how the new schedule is going to work out as we still have many things in the air right now. With the move pending and an uncertain destination awaiting us, We are taking it one day at a time here. God willing, things will be just fine as I turn it over so it is now in his hands for what the future holds for us. I must admit it is frightening and exhilarating at the same time. thankfully, Dragon*Con is all set to go and all we need left to do is create our bid sheets for the Art show. We now must restock our supplies and wares for the September 1st - 5th show. We have a larger booth this time at the Artist Bazaar so we must fill it to the brim. With just under 2 months we should be able to easily enough stock up on the goodies. After that we shall see what the future holds for The Unnatural Forces. Sky is the limit it seems!

The Best Laid Plans Of Mice And All That.
Man let me tell you, Springs Spree was brutal. With our first outdoor show the turnout was good though high winds and disappointing sales lead us to the conclusion... Outdoor shows are not for us... LOL... The one redeeming bit from this whole ordeal was the deep fried Twinkie. It was surprisingly good and a great morale booster. Well with Spree a sad memory, we are already on to knocking out Anime Expo in 2 weeks. God willing we can recoup some of our losses from Springs Spree there in LA. Wish us luck we are going to need it. I have had the blessing of some new projects rolling in to help, though helpful to keeping us employed, more work is greatly needed. Please spread the word!

Welcome To The Grind House!
Hey gang, the Unnatural Forces will be moving soon. As much fun as Colorado has been for us, it is time to seek greener pastures for our Art business. With current circumstances forcing us to sell the In-Laws home (where Ravynedge and I have been residing while building our business) and the market being as dry as it is, we are adapting as best we can before we are overwhelmed and end up in debt to our eyeballs. So far we are in the middle of a home repair/beautification project and plan to have the house ready for the market by July. That gives us 2 weeks from today. Yes the stress level is pretty high, and we are at the mercy of God to save our sanity as we prepare for the sale/move. Please keep us in your prayers for a positive outcome. We humbly ask for your help too... If you are willing to help us through this tumultous time, we encurage that support urgently. Red ALERT!
Our work horse printer has reached the end of it's service life. What a pain in the butt. Now all the images I have to print out are going to be on hold untill I get my conversion kit to fix my printer. It chaps my flanks that businesses put these things built into products to make a preordaned "Death" for a product. Fortunately there are counter measures to this it is just yet another delay and time consumed to -adapt- the printer to working again. This kit will save me $700.00 from having to buy a new printer so I guess one must roll with the punches... more as it unravels.

Wonder Conned?
With the manditory CA sellers permit and Sales Tax licence required for admission to the Wonder con, I missed the window to enter the Artist Alley. With all the hastle to get the frippin' permit, it took too long and the tables all sold out for 2011. Drat! Well that means that Comic Fest is back on the menu for April. So try, try again for next time. At least i got a jump on the Anime Expo and was able to piggy back the permit for that convention. So the Anime Expo is golden and the Unnatural Forces are returning to LA! So if you missed us last time, or are eager to see us again, wish granted!

Fires, Fires Everywhere.
Hey Lycan fans, my apologies for the month delay in updates, sorry to leave you all in a lurch for the new info. We have been very busy researching and finding new ways to market our cool art. So with out further adieu we are proud to announce a first look at the Unnatural Forces art anthology. The book is in the design phase and should be ready for publication by December. With all things running smoothly that is. Good news for those of you looking for that awesome Christmas/holiday gift. Well at least we are trying to put together a list of art from 2000 till 2010 for you all to see in one tidy comic book form. Stay tuned for more info on that awesome visual history of the Unnatural Forces.

Where Is The Magic?
Yes, my art business is growing stronger than ever. Where is that artistic magic you ask? Well since I am working with Mystic Media on a whole new game concept and I have been busting out new monsters like crazy for the last two months. So far I have cranked out 15 new critters with a whole 50 more to go. The project will be ongoing until early next year when the brand new beta game will be ready for release. Sorry for the lacking details as it is a highly anticipated project and the secrecy is important to maximize the games competitive concepts and content to be as unique as possible. Thank you for your patience, I think you will be impressed when you get to see the finished result in action.

Bigger, Brighter Tomorrows.
I have been in negotiations for many new exciting projects that look very promising coming the Lycan's way. With more and more commissions to be posted soon and some seriously professional deals that I have cooking, the art world is about to get a new heavyweight contender. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers for the world is about to get much smaller for the Unnatural Forces. Lets just say that some fantastic book illustrations are opening up and looking very promising. Around The USA In 70 Days.
Holy CRAP!... I think I now know how Phileas Fogg must have felt after his famous 80 day race around the world. From the Anime Expo in LA, to Comic Con in Chicago to the Dragon*Con in Atlanta just a single week after the Chicago show, I am thoroughly worn out. That is a total of 7,600 miles in 3 months. I am calculating that in and reconsidering my schedule for next year. No more back to back shows anymore... It nearly killed us. The shows themselves were great though and Dragon*Con kicked some real butt. We sold all of our Art Show limited Editions and also sold out of several of our prints and jewelry. Thanks so much to our fans for making the Dragon*Con show a great success for us. Also a huge round of applause for the Art Show directors, coordinators and volunteers for doing such a great job making the Show run smoothly and keeping the spirit of the Art Show alive. Thank you! (Applause)

And You Thought We Were Through?
Although our Trekking about is over for the year, we are loaded to the teeth with work. I have commissions that I have had in progress before the Dragon Con and I now have been slated for creating a whole new slew of monsters and brought on as a creative consultant on a new game being created by Mystic media. I can't give you many details as of yet, but it looks like one very cool gaming extravaganza. More on that as it develops. RavynEdge is currently working on commissions too and if the cards play right she will also start on some rather cool jewelry commissions for our new fans from Dragon*Con. So the biz is looking brighter and our future is definitely starting to hum from all the lights popping up over that horizon. There And Back Again.
WOW... what a show. If you were there at the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, then you know what I mean. This years show was a great one for the Unnatural Forces, we got to see our returning fans from last year (Great to see you all again) and made some new fans this year. (Thanks for your support!) The new images were a real show stopper for us this year. The new Jewelry also made quite a splash for us as well this time around and thanks so much for your patronage. For those of you looking to buy T-Shirts that were sold out, we are adding them to our Unnatural Forces store for you to order. I am trying to bridle my enthusiasm for this convention because if I do not I will come unraveled at the seams. With just over a week to go before we depart for the 1000 mile road trip, we still have a lot of work to get prepared for our showing. Amethyst Dragon, 2010 Grand Opening!
After some tough negotiations and some real hard work, the Amethyst Dragon Shop has found a new home in Pueblo Colorado. Their new shop is having their Grand Opening on Saturday August 14th. The Unnatural Forces will be there in style to sign consignment prints and chat with our Colorado Fans in person! California, Here We Come!
Wow, Anime Expo AX is less than a month away and we are busting' our behinds to get everything perfect for the show. our artist ally Table is B31 and the end of the B table run in the Artist Alley Room. We are lucky to have and end cap so that is alright by me. We have all the reservations booked and we are chomping at the bit to get to LA. This will be awesome, I can hardly wait now.

New Works in the Works.
With all the excitement now I almost forgot to post my new Commission pieces. "Sisters" and "Drastik" are now posted for your viewing pleasure. I have more on the way, you will just have to wait till after the Anime Expo for me to put them up for viewing.

My entry to the "Splice" art contest is in hold as the contest is in line for judging on June 4th. the first elimination round will be of 25 entrants to enter the final phase and the final 3 top winners will be selected by the director of "Splice", Vincenzo Natali. Gone And Joined A Contest.
The Lycan Knight has joined the Deviant Art/Warner Brothers: Splice, Create a Creature Contest at the Deviant Art site. My entry titled "A Splice Of Life" is completed and posted for entry into the contest. Now not too often does a contest come along that was tailored for my style of art, but this one I could not resist as it is right up my antrhomorphic alley. ComicFest: The Aftermath.
Wow, talk about a whirlwind of a three day convention. It appears that the success of the convention is spreading despite the lack of signage to the ComicFest from the main StarFest hotel. People found us and we got to make some new friends as well as reconnect with some familiar ones. Thank you to all our supporters and to Jason and the ComicFest Staff and volunteers for putting together such a great show. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Rocket Sled on Rails.
Blazing ahead. The Unnatural Forces have lit the powder keg and are scrambling for cover. With the Convention season in full swing, we have been working our buttskis off. With new jewelry and the magnetic sixteen month calendars making a great start at ComicFest, we are on the hunt toward making them more available to the general public. For now, you can get your hands on RavynEdge original jewelry in the Etsy store, though you will have to collect the calendars from the conventions till the end of the year. By then I will have a selection of them available on the site for sale first come first served.

Commissions Extravaganza.
Like clockwork the Lycan Knight is booked up on new commissions. With the demand for new art coming in regularly you must act fast to reserve your spot. I am starting a waiting list this month to take on new commission work so if you want your 0ne of a kind Lycan Knight original commission art, I suggest you let me know ASAP so I can schedule you in. With the stream of work from Algadon and the new Comic Book coming up, now is the time to sign up get your commission slot before I am booked solid through 2010. Roaring into Spring.
Your not so friendly neighborhood Lycan will be terrorizing a local event near you! This spring the furry cyclone with claws is tearing it up with all sorts of new projects and conventions on the horizon. First off is CommicFest on the 16th -18th of April in Denver CO. Then the resident Lycanthrope is off to West Coast Anime Expo in LA, CA in July 1st -4th. Then to the central US for Wizard World/Comic Con Chicago in August 19th -22nd. then the East Coast to Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA in September 3rd - 6th. Then Back to the mountains for Mile Hi Con back in Denver CO in October 22nd -24th. It is going to be a very busy summer and I am all fired up to bring the Unnatural Forces goods to the whole of the USA this year. Listen to the howl, because the wolf is on the prowl expanding his territory to your back door. See you out there... if you dare! Aaaarrrrrroooowwwwww!

Leaps & Bounds.
Boy, the year has lurched forward and I am grasping to keep on. Like a rocket sled on rails the Unnatural Forces are blasting full speed ahead. With work coming in from all sides, we are loving every bit of it. With new conventions on the horizon and great commissions rolling in, we are very grateful for the opportunity to work with some fine people and make some fantastic art.

New Beginnings!
It is safe enough for me to spill the beans about a massive new project coming up for the Lycan Knight. I have been in negotiations for a few weeks now to illustrate and paint an independent comic book. The details are still in flux though it looks that the project is a go! So for those of you itching to hear more, stay tuned. I'll keep you all informed to the breaking news and details of that awesome new comic to be watching out for.

Unnaturally Good!
With the new year comes new ideas. Thanks impart to our travels and meeting our new friends, The unnatural Forces have come up with some new creative products we will have up for sale very soon. We hope to have these new prototype products up in our ComicFest show in April. Happy New Year! 2010 is upon us and let me tell you it has pounced on me with a vengeance. With all the new stuff I have planned for this year it is hard to know where to start. The Unnatural Forces are gearing up for COSine on Jan. 22nd - 24th, 2010. A small con here in Colorado Springs, but a popular one. We will have our artist panel up and some limited edition prints available for sale in the auction. If you are in the Springs, come by and check it out!

Commissions: On a roll!
If you are wanting to get your Lycan Knight Commission this year You may want to get started early this year. The Lycan Knight is already starting a back log of the commissions ordered in December for this January. They are quickly filling up my schedule with some fun work, on top of my work for Algadon. Making a bit of a splash!
Wow, how the year flies by. Here it is December and I have been procrastinating. Well I have finally got to upgrading the site. Well time has come and new things are brewing. Along with some new aesthetic changes... I have a ton of new art to share with you under a new Gallery 1 category. Algadon has exploded into a new bit of game art for me. They are a bit small though they are made to be merely 200px X 240px so you are getting the deluxe shot found only here. Check it out for some totally cool new images!

Christmas... and all that other stuff!
December is the month of endings for the Unnatural Forces. It will be the last month for our Witches Brew booth. While the booth did not work out for us, Summerlands will still offer our work on a consignment basis. This means we will have less of a selection, however, you can still get your Unnatural Forces art in Denver, framed and ready for your wall at home! It also marked the last of the Amethyst Dragon shop in sterling... Because they have moved to Pueblo! We look forward to renegotiating our consignment with them after the new year and Amethyst Dragon is open again for business! Finally our yearly gallery run at Academy Frame shop is coming to a close. We are tickled pink for the featured artist spot in their gallery for 2009. We are still showing at the shop, the way has yet to be determined... Thanks a million guys for helping make 2009 our best year ever!
Have a merry, happy, jolly, bouncing off the walls, eat till your sick, drink till your sicker... What ever you wanna call it... time of the year!
